Is encryption really included on the Free tier?
Yes. Every tier — Free included — uses the same client-side AES-256-GCM encryption. We don't gate security behind paid tiers. The Free tier limits scale (50 notes, 256 KB per note, single user) but the cryptographic posture is identical to Enterprise.
What happens if I cancel?
You drop to the Free tier and keep access to your most recent 50 notes. Older notes are retained but read-only for 90 days, then archived. Export to Markdown, JSON, HTML, or plain text is always available — no hostage-taking.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing on Pro and Team gets you two months free (so Pro is £99.90 a year, Team is £199.90 a user a year). Toggle annual at checkout. Enterprise is always custom.
How does Team billing work for variable headcounts?
Per-seat, prorated. Add a user mid-month and you're charged the prorated remainder of the cycle. Remove a user and you're credited prorated against the next bill. Minimum three users on Team.
Is there an academic, charity, or open-source discount?
Yes — 50% off Pro and Team for registered UK charities, schools, universities, and maintainers of qualifying open-source projects. Email [email protected] with proof and we'll set you up.
Where is my data hosted?
Default is the United Kingdom (London + Manchester, MariaDB Galera HA cluster). Team customers can elect for EU tenancy (Frankfurt). Enterprise customers can elect for a dedicated tenancy in the UK, EU, or US. Full detail on the security page.
Do you take payment in currencies other than GBP?
List prices are in pounds sterling. Stripe will collect in your local currency at the prevailing rate. Enterprise contracts can be quoted in GBP, EUR, or USD on request.
What about the Founder plan I see referenced?
The Founder plan was a free-for-life tier offered to early supporters during the iOS launch. It's still honoured, but it isn't available to new sign-ups. Existing Founder accounts keep all current and future Pro features.
