/ encryption

Encryption is the floor, not the upsell.

Every tier — Free included — uses the same client-side AES-256-GCM. We don't gate security behind paid tiers and we won't.

/ jurisdiction

Where data lives matters.

UK by default, with EU and US dedicated tenancy on request. We host where we operate, and we operate where customers want their data.

/ no surveillance

We don't track. We don't profile. We don't train AI on your notes.

No advertising business, no behavioural analytics, no third-party cookies. The only thing we measure is anonymous page-view counts on the marketing site, and we don't link them to anyone.

/ no lock-in

Your notes are yours to take elsewhere.

Every note exports to Markdown, JSON, HTML, or plain text — no proprietary formats, no hostage-taking. If you cancel, your most recent fifty notes stay readable on the Free tier and full exports are always one click away.

— Why we built this

We didn't like our notes being someone else's training data.

XeoNote started, as most things do, as a complaint. Notes apps had quietly become surveillance tools. The big ones read everything you wrote, used it to train models, sold the patterns to advertisers, or all three.

We wanted somewhere to write - really write, the embarrassing first drafts and the half-formed ideas - without that bargain. Somewhere encrypted by default, hosted in a jurisdiction we trust, run by a team small enough that the answer to "who can read my notes" is genuinely "nobody."

The thing we ended up building

XeoNote is a managed note-taking, team-wiki and meetings actions platform. Notes you mark private are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before they touch the network. Spaces let teams build proper wikis with role-based access. Meetings notes allow you to extract and own the action items.

It's hosted in the United Kingdom by default. EU and US dedicated tenancy is on the menu for Team and Enterprise customers who need it.

What we won't do

We won't run an advertising business. We won't sell or share data with third parties. We won't train AI models on your notes. We won't sneak telemetry into the apps. We won't bury security behind a paywall. We won't claim certifications we haven't earned.

If any of that ever changes, we'll tell you first. That's the contract.
